Suru Restaurant in Barcelona

"Great dinner! I went by myself and was accommodated by half portions of the menu which was great so I got to try a total of about 7 dishes. While presentation is pretty unassuming, the flavors were deep and sharp. The sweetbreads were among the very best due to their crunchy outside with juicy on the inside complimented by Jerez vinagre onions on a bed of coliflor puree. All of the dishes very well seasoned. I felt extremely welcome sitting at the bar."

"We were blown away by this restaurant, definitely a highlight of our trip. Starting off with the wine, we were initially overwhelmed by the selection but were steered in the right direction by the excellent sommelier and given a great recommendation. The food was delicious and so interesting, we loved the scallop crudo with mussel horseradish sauce, the grilled romaine with hummus salad, the gnocchi with chantarelles and the chicken stuffed with sausage. We couldn't choose between the desserts so we got both, no regrets"

"What a special place! We sat at the counter and watched the chefs prepare the food with such attention to detail. Our courses were timed perfectly with an explanation of each course. The sommelier provided a perfect wine pairing, and overall the service was perfect. Eat here, you won't regret it!!!"

"Cute restaurant with various creative / Asian fusion dishes. The Yakitoris stood out and were so delicious that we ordered seconds. Overall the food was great but I think the desserts were a little lacking. Great atmosphere as well."

"Food was excellent. A very well executed Catalan and japanese fusion of sorts. Extensive natty wine list and for a restaurant with minimal staff, service was great by Barcelona standards. Restaurant was full and lively, but also managed to have a chill vibe and be easy place to have a conversation. There's a good reason why this restaurant appears on so many " best of" lists. Definitely check them out."
